Oooookay. New anime.  There are a lot of them.  But~ only a few that caught my interest.

1. Kimi ni Todoke Season 2

Yup.  I am ever much a fun of Kimi ni Todoke.  Yes.  It’s shoujo.  I don’t do much of shoujo unless it’s more of a shounen ai variety or if it’s bearable.  But, like Skip Beat!, Kimi ni Todoke just captured my heart~♥! X3  I fell in love with the manga as soon as I started reading and I just can’t get enough of it.  Unlike all other shoujo manga I’ve read so far, it doesn’t leave me with a frustrated feeling.  It’s just soooo~ easy to read and it’s soooo~ easy to fall in love with the characters.  The first season ended with the New Year chapter and the manga has come a long~ way~.  But I still wanna watch the anime even though I know what’s gonna happen.  That’s how addicted I am to this manga/anime.  lawl  Well, there’s only a few episodes out.  I’m gonna wait a few more weeks so I can watch episodes and not feel frustrated while waiting for another.

2. Gosick

At first, I wasn’t interested in watching this anime.  But then I remembered.  There’s a manga of this one that was adapted from a light novel.  And the manga was just sooooo~ interesting.  It’s about a male Japanese exchange student who meets a girl in a library.  The manga’s interesting and has mystery written all over it.  Too bad only a few chapters have been scanlated.  I watched the first episode and I was surprised that it was somehow different from the manga.  Hmm….. oh well.  This one is definitely going to be a fave~

[Oh, I’ve been thinking a whole lot what on earth ‘Gosick’ means.  I’ve been thinking about it over and over and over and over and over again.  And I finally had a lightbulb moment.  Then I realized that, all along, there’s been katakana readings all over the place.  ugh… I can’t believe I’m so stupid.  ]

3. Fractale

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to watch this one.  The summary I saw wasn’t a bit interesting.  So I downloaded an episode on a whim.  And, wow.  I was surprised.  The premise of the story is quite interesting.  It’s set in he future when people have doppleganger-thingies that could take a place of a person even if that person is far away.  The main character lives alone with doppels of his parents.  How cool is that~?  So, anyway, the people are living in a somewhat Utopia-kind of place.  There’s no war or anything.  People don’t need to work because basic needs are provided and everyone receives an equal and basic income.  But, a terminal is embedded inside a person.  And, apparently, at the end of the day, they’re required to pray or something.  It’s weird, though.  Since it seems like the Fractale system is reading their minds.  Or maybe not.  Maybe I’m just being creepy here.  *laughs*  Anyway, this anime seems to have some promise.

Oh, and on another note, I’m liking Fractale’s opening them. XD

4. Level E

Oh wow.  This is going to have an anime?  *laughs*  It’s been years since I’ve read the manga.  *laughs*  For those who don’t know, Level E has the same mangaka has Yu Yu Hakusho.  Anyway, it has a bit of a sci-fi theme going on.  When I first encountered the manga, I was a bit hesitant since it didn’t seem like the kind of manga I read [that time, I was such a kid and was falling in love with Inuyasha and Fushigi Yuugi. Now, I don’t think I can stand those manga anymore~ *laughs*]  It’s been a while since I’ve read the manga so I think I’m going to dig up some of my older CDs and files so I can reread it. *laughs*  So far, the anime’s interesting.  I’m sooo~ looking forward for the upcoming episodes~.

5. Starry Sky

Wow.  When I first read about this anime… I was excited.  It’s a male harem for crying out loud!  Harem and seemingly-Harem anime seem to dominate.  [Ah, but for the past few seasons there’s been harem anime out. read: Hakuoki lawl]  So, anime, I was excited about this one.  I mean, just give me bishies and I’d be happy.  *laughs*  The first episode was interesting.  But the second one was a bit…. *sigh*  For the meantime, I’ve stopped at episode two.  I’d wait for a few more eps [maybe until episode 7 or 8 is out…?] before I watch them again.  The episodes are about 10-15 minutes long.  And the bishies… ah~ the bishies~!  I love the bishies.  They are soooo~ hot.  I love them.  Yeah.  Hear me rant.  I am such a nerd.  *laughs*

6. Beelzebub

I love the manga even though it doesn’t makes sense sometimes. *laughs*  I watched the first ep.  It was cool.  Baby Beel was just sooooooo~ adorable. I go ‘awwwww~♥’ everytime I see him and hear him speak.  *laughs*  The voice actors were okay, kinda like how I expected them to be in my head when I read the manga.  Sooooo~ looking forward for the next episodes.

7. Hourou Musuko

The manga is cool.  Really.  The main characters are children but it focuses on such important issues.  I haven’t watched the first ep yet.  Like I said before, I’m waiting until a few more episodes are out before I start watching.  I do hope it’s cool.

So, there it is.  The list of anime I’m going to add to my watch list.  I do hope they don’t disappoint in later episodes.   Oh, but there’s still Mai no Mahou to Katei no Hi.  It starts airing February… or so I’ve heard.  It seems interesting so I think I might watch it.

I’ve seen this series around for a while now.  It popped out when I was looking for anime and manga belonging to the supernatural genre.  Though the title sounded cool, I wasn’t really interested in watching it.  But, I was bored and had a bit of time in my hands so I decided, why not?

I started watching a new anime today.  Well, not exactly new.  I sorta watched it before but dropped it after a few episodes… because my internet connection that time was giving me problems.  *sigh*  Oh well… *laughs*

Earlier today, I started watching Nishi no Yoki Majo.  I know, it’s been around for a while.  And it doesn’t really seem to be the type of anime I usually go for but… *shrugs*  I mean, the title itself if the kind of title I usually avoid.  Admit it, the title of a series can also somehow affect one’s curiosity, right?  Anyway, I thought it’s going to be one of those things that I usually hate.  Like those overly shoujo anime with a very stereotypical shoujo female character in a very fantasy-like setting and having a lot~ of the guys fall for her.  *laughs*

So far, the main character, Firiel, seems okay.  She just happen to find out that she’s the daughter of a previous candidate for queen , then her father went missing, her childhood friend was marked [I think….?] as a heretic, found out that she had nobles for cousins, and was then sent to an all-girls school that teaches women to seduce men.  *laughs*  So far so good~ :3  I wonder how she’ll turn up in later episodes…?  Will she disappoint and become a boring character?  Maybe, maybe not.

Firiel, although the heroine of the story, is not really one of my faves.  As far as episode 5 is concerned, my fave characters would be Roux, Adel, and maybe Marie and Eusis…?  *laughs*

Roux would be my fave cause he’s just cute and he’s the type of guy I like.  Though he seems to be the typical smart guy with a horrible disposition but also treasures the person he loves so much, I just can’t help it.  Stereotype or not, he is cool.  Besides, Rumpelsti Ltskin?  Sooo~ cool~!  Oh, and he looks soooo~ pretty as a girl! *laughs*

Adel’s another of my fave ’cause she looks like a loli and yet she doesn’t seem that loli to me…. wait… huh?  *laughs*  doesn’t make sense, right?  *laughs*  Oh well, she just doesn’t seem to be what she is.  She looks weak but she was able to go through that wicked all-girls school that teaches women to seduce men… *laughs*  just had to say that~!  :3  Oh, and she writes BL!  Ha!

Marie didn’t have much screen time, but lately, she’s shown to transfer to Firiel’s school in order to watch over the cross-dressing Roux.  :3  What I like about her is that she’s…. straightforward I think.  *lols at first episode* :3

EusisXRoux?! :3 >///<

Oh, and Eusis.  Apparently, Adel’s BL story, which she wrote for two days straight, was inspired when she saw Roux and Eusis.  *laughs*  Anyway, I can actually see something for this pairing on the scene where he challenges Roux to a game of chess.  *laughs*  Oh, and yes.  The goodness that would come out from both of them is the only reason why I like him.  I’m not really that convinced on his character.  Anyway, Roux and Eusis could end up together but~, of course~ Roux is in love with Firiel.  Anyway, if Firiel were ever to disappear, Eusis would look nice with Roux.  Oh, but Lot is still there~.  He’s Eusis’ friend and he would make a great seme for Eusis.  oh wow… an unexpected triangle?  *laughs*

Anyway, that’s all there is for now.  Have to finish the entire series to realllly~ formulate my opinion of everything~! :3

Oh. and I also started a new manga today.  It’s called Tora to Ookami.  It’s about this girl, Mii, a fujoshi, who met two college guys, Tora and Ookami, in her family’s restaurant, Himawari.  Both guys are pretty.  Really.  And~ they seem to be much MUCH closer than being friends.  *laughs*

Tora’s fun.  He’s the light-haired guy in the pic.  He seems like an airhead and he can eat food for five people.  But appearances are really deceiving.  Despite that, he’s a genius when it comes to art.  In one of the chapters, Mii delivers food for Tora and was really surprised that he makes really awesome paintings.

Ookami’s the dark-haired guy.  He’s a bit of a grouch.  He’s the guy who brought [the passed-out-due-to-hunger] Tora in Mii’s restaurant.  At first, he was really rude to Mii but he seemed to tone it down a bit later on.  He’s still a big meanie, though.

I think the series is still new.  Only four chapters are scanlated.  So, it’s that or people just aren’t interested in translatingthis one.  *shrugs* Either way, I hope scanlation groups would really pick up this series.  It’s really funny and interesting.  Tora and Ookami are too close to each other that it’s a bit unbelievable they’re only friends.  However, they did deny the fact that they’re lovers after Mii let it slip that they didn’t need to be shy in front of her since she has books about such things.  *laughs*  Ah, but it’s also interesting if Mii would fall for one of them or if Tora and/or Ookami would fall for Mii.  Either way, I think Mii has a bit of feelings for both of them.  Particularly Tora, maybe?  *shrugs*

Oh, but chapter 4 proved to be interesting.  A new character appeared, one that’s also really~ good in art.  And~ she seems to be interested in Tora.  AND~ Tora seems to admire her as well..  Could it be…?  Is this Ookami’s rival?  *laugh*

Oh, and I love~ Mii’s grandma. She actually knows her BL stuff.  Apparently, she knows about Mii’s love for BL and might have even read her manga.  She actually said “they’re like the boys in the manga you love, Mii”.  *laughs*  And~ Mii actually started a novel using Tora and Ookami as the characters.  Like really REALLY BL stuff, though not that hardcore.  And, lawl, Mii’s grandma actually read them!  *laughs*

Kuroshitsuji II

Finally, I’m able to write something about Kuroshitsuji II.  *laughs*  So, anyway, the second season of Kuroshitsuji premiered last July and aired it’s last episode this September.  It ran a total of twelve episodes and, darn it, I’m a bit torn about this anime.

The first season of the anime was just awesome.  Though it didn’t follow the manga’s storyline, it was good in itself.  When it ended, I felt that despite the sad ending, it wasn’t lacking in any way.  Ciel’s revenge has been complete and Sebastian is free to devour his soul.

Then season two happened.  And I believe I’m not just speaking for myself when I say everyone watching the series was confused.  Of course, there were news that there are new characters being introduced:  Alois Trancy and his butler, Claude.  So I think people were expecting a story focusing on the two of them.  But, lo and behold!  Sebastian Michaelis appeared… And so did Ciel.  And I was left on the edge of my seat.

Of course, I was confused.  Ciel died so why did he appear again?  And then, there was the fact that Alois seemed to want Ciel for something.  Confusion.  And yet, it also made me want for more.  Then episode was released and I think everyone was sent into a lot more confusion.  *laughs*  Theories on what’s happening kept popping up here and there.  And, I even tried my hand into giving my own version of what I think happened and is going to happen. *laughs*

As the series progressed, questions were answered and I just marveled at the fight between the two demons.  Of course, I was a bit peeved that Sebastian went into a contract-thingie with Claude.  Though it made the story a bit more entertaining it was just,… ugh.  It just made me feel that they were toying with both Ciel and Alois.  *sigh*  Well, they are demons.

Anyway, the second season really had nice developments.  There were also times were I felt sorry for both Alois and Ciel.  Well, mostly Ciel.  I just hate Alois.  Even if I watched the episode dedicated to explain his past, I still don’t like him.  *laughs*  He’s just too obsessed with Claude, actually.  *laughs*  But, darn, the last few episodes were really something.  There’s this mighty twist and the end was just sad.  Really sad.

It’s just sad that everything turned out the way it was.  Although the final fight scenes between Claude and Sebastian were cool, everything else kinda sucked to me.  Really.  But, the way it was turning out, I think it was good that they just wrapped up the season in twelve episodes.

However, it would have been nice if there were still a lot more of interaction between Ciel and Alois as the Watchdogand the Spider.  Or maybe a bit more interaction between Ciel and the deceased detective guy’s brother?  It would have been interesting to see if he could affect Ciel the same way his brother did in the first season.  Would Ciel have second thoughts about his revenge again or would he just go on with it without having doubts?  *sigh*  I’m not really good with these kind of things.  *laughs*

Oh well, Kuroshitsuji II seemed to be cut so short, but anymore would just have drawn out the story too much.  All in all, the story was okay but the ending was lame.  And, I don’t think it lived up to the hype it created when it was announced.  Oh, but something to watch out for in this series is the seemingly innocent yet shounen ai-ish scenes.

PS:  I’m really sad that the other characters weren’t given much screen time.  *sigh*  I really loooooved~  Mey-rin. >_<  Oh, and Claude is a pervert, a pedophile, and really seemingly gay.  I thought he was okay at first, but darn it.  He’s just creepy.

Bungaku Shoujo Movie

I first learned of Bungaku Shoujo when I was searching the net for some new anime to watch since the anime I had in zuko were either something I had already finished watching or something unbearable that even I question myself for grabbing them from some anime site [read: anime-sensei.net].  Anyway, when I read the description/summary thingie, I just fell in love with the concept.

Bungaku Shoujo is about a guy, Inoue Konoha, who happened to see a girl, Amano Touko, eating a page from a book she’s reading.  When she noticed him, she introduced herself and decided that he join their school’s Literature Club.

The anime’s actually adapted from a light novel of the same title and also has a manga.  The OVA I watched was. I think, more of a prelude to the story since it focused mainly on Touko and when she read Konoha’s novel.  I really can’t say anything much about the story since I’ve only watched the OVAs and a few chapters of the manga.  But, darn.  They’re a bit different.  The OVAs where mostly focused on the light side of the story that when I finally read the manga, I was a bit surprised [in a good way~].  The manga’s more on the mystery/thriller [?] kind of thing.  Add in some psychological stuff from Konoha, mix in Touko’s strange condition, and voila~!  You’ve got something good.

Anyway, I just finished watching the movie a few moments ago and wow, just wow.  I love it so much I’m crying right now because it had such a bittersweet end.  But there were some parts I didn’t understand, more specifically, characters I don’t really know.  I think the movie was adapted from the later part of the books or something?  I’m not really sure.  But, anyway, it was nice because it explains why Konoha stopped being a writer and gave him a closure with the issues he faced before he met Touko.  But, damn it.  It’s also a bit frustrating because one never really knows what happens after with Konoha and Touko.  Though there is a bit of something after the credits, it’s just not enough! >_< [well, for me, that is.  i don’t know about other people…]

I love the movie as is.  But I also want more and I don’t think that the manga’s gonna cover my craving for Bungaku Shoujo.  I want to read the light novels…. all thirteen of them.  I’ve read somewhere that an English version of the novels have been released.  And, darn it, I want the whole set [if they’re already available…].  Unfortunately, I don’t think stores have them here.  It just sucks.  Oh god, why wasn’t I born Japanese and live in Japan, where these darn light novels are availabe?  *sighs*  But, if that was the case, I don’t think I’d be interested in these kind of stuff, either.  *sigh* oh well… ima look for fan-made translations online now….

PS: by the way, before watching the movie, i watched the final episode for kuroshitsuji II and i forgot about writing about it first.  *laughs*  that’s just how i was so into this movie.  *laughs*  oh, but it could also be the fact that kuroshitsuji kinda sucked for me despite having that really ‘painful’ ending which i kinda love in a lot of things… but that’s another story… *sigh*  oh well… *laughs*
