Yup.  Recently, I’ve been into Artemis Fowl books.  It’s really good.  It’s about this guy, Artemis Fowl II, who’s somewhat of an anti-hero.  He’s a genius.  He’s a criminal mastermind.  And~ he’s twelve years old.  At least in the first book.  Currently, in the seventh book, he’s fifteen.

The first book was just sooo~ good.  I just loved it so much I got hooked.  Artemis is just ♥~ *laughs*  Oh well, so recently, I got a copy of the latest book, Atlantis Cmplex.  And, darn it~ is it possible to get even more addicted? 😀

So, anyway, seventh book is somewhat kind of new.  Unlike the previous ones, Artemis isn’t actually planning some kind of an evil plot! He was actually thinking for the betterment of the world! O_O  And what’s even more interesting is how the story actually turned out.

As usual, the book’s still as funny as ever.  So~ love the bantering between Foaly and Artemis.  :3  Oh, and Holly being assaulted by love sonnets was utterly hilarious.  Oh, right, Artemis got the Atlantis Complex, some kind of a mental disorder that’s common with the magical people.  The manifestations of the complex  were heartbreaking, yet also really hilarious.  Artemis with an OCD?  Having a strange fixation on the number  5?  And having an alterego [Orion] who probably has no~ clue about the real world?  Come on!  Very funny!  Though, it was kind of sad that Orion didn’t have the usual deviousness found in Artemis.  *sigh* Oh well…

So, the book absolutely rocked.  But, the ending was much more of a cliffhanger and I’m absolutely at the edge of my seat waiting for news of a sequel.  So far, I haven’t read anything yet but I hope there’s another book.  I really~ want to know what happens after this one.  Will Artemis be cured of the complex?  If he does, would he still be the same Artemis the fans know and love?  And what would happen to Holly?  It was mentioned in the book that Holly and Trouble went out for a date one time.  Would they get together?  Ugh!  No!  I don’t want that!  I’m an ArtemisxHolly shipper.  The kiss in the previous book actually made me hope that something changes in their relationship.  But, so for, nothing seems to be clear from Holly’s part.  On Artemis’ side, however, it was kind of made clear [read: kind of] that Artemis has some kind of feelings for Holly.  Orion actually proclaimed his love for her during the time he took over Artemis.  Still~ *laughs*

*sigh* I really want a next book.  >_<

Oh, and here’s a part of the book I sooo~ absolutely love!

Conversation on the phone between Artemis and his mother, Angeline.
“It’s about your birthday.”
Artemis’s shoulders drooped with relief. “My birthday. Is that all?”
“I got you something . . . different, but I want you to have them. It would make me happy.”
“If they make you happy, I am sure they will make me happy.”
“So, Arty, you have to promise me you’ll use them.”
Artemis’s nature made it hard for him to promise anything. “What are they?”
“Promise me, honey.”
Artemis glanced out of the porthole. He was stuck in a burned-out escape pod in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. Either they would sink, or some Scandinavian navy would mistake them for aliens and blow their tub out of the water.
“Very well, I promise. So, what did you get for me?”
Angeline paused for a beat. “Jeans.”
“What?” croaked Artemis.
“And a T-shirt.”
Artemis knew that he shouldn’t really be upset, in the circumstances, but he couldn’t help himself. “Mother, you tricked me.”
*sigh*  Oh, Artemis, how I love you~♥ *laughs*
